Austell
Austell (6th century), monk. He was a disciple of Mewan, probably coming with him from South Wales to Cornwall, and later following him and Samson into Brittany. Austell founded the church in Cornwall at the town which takes its name from him; he died at S. Méen in Brittany and was buried in the same tomb as Mewan. Feast: 28 June.
