No axis of evil here, Axsys Technologies works with the good guys. The company caters to the defense, homeland security, law enforcement, space, maritime, and production and broadcast sectors. It designs and manufactures motion control products, electro-optical infrared (EO/IR) systems, IR lenses, and multi-axis stabilized high definition (HD) cameras that are used in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) applications. UK defense contractor BAE Systems is one of its biggest customers. Axsys Technologies is part of ISR operations within General Dynamics' Information Systems and Technology division. It has facilities in Alabama, California, Michigan, and New Hampshire.
