Canadian Natural Resources Limited (TSX: CNQ NYSE: CNQ) is a senior oil and natural gas exploration, development and production company based in Calgary, Alberta. Operations are focused in Western Canada, the North Sea and offshore West Africa. Currently the Company has built the Horizon Oilsands Plant north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. It ranks number 279 on the Forbes Global 2000 list (2008 edition).
Besides the Calgary, Alberta headquarters, Canadian Natural has field offices throughout Western Canada in Alberta, British Columbia,Saskatchewan as well as international offices in Gabon, Côte d'Ivoire and Aberdeen, Scotland.

History - In 1989, Canadian Natural was an oil and natural gas company operating only in Alberta which employed 9 people, produced about 1,400 barrels of oil equivalent per day and had a market capitalization of about $1 million. By adhering to defined growth principles and through opportunistic acquisitions they have grown to approximately 3,700 employees, production of over 565,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day and an enterprise value of approximately $30 billion.
