Canyon Country is a community in Los Angeles County with a population of 59,530. In 1987, it was one of four communities (along with Valencia, Newhall, and Saugus) that merged to create the city of Santa Clarita, California. The latitude of Canyon Country is 34.423N and the longitude is -118.471W[1]. It is home to the Placerita Canyon Nature Center which is the site of the historic "Oak of the Golden Dream," California's original gold discovery in 1842 [2].

Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 104 (Quint) and Station 107 (Engine and Paramedic Squad) serve the community.
