Chesterbrook is a census-designated place (CDP) in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,625 at the 2000 census.
Geography
Chesterbrook is located at (40.074378, -75.455018).1
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.2 km² (1.6 mi²), all land.
Demographics
As of the census
There were 2,356 households out of which 20.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 39.2% were married couples living together, 8.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 50.1% were non-families. 42.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.96 and the average family size was 2.71.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 17.3% under the age of 18, 4.0% from 18 to 24, 38.4% from 25 to 44, 29.3% from 45 to 64, and 10.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 80.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 79.2 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $80,792, and the median income for a family was $90,872. Males had a median income of $68,906 versus $47,348 for females.
