Latin America's largest power holding company Enersis gives Chile (and its neighbors) plenty of heat. Its distribution companies provide power to almost 12 million customers (approximately 45 million people) in regions of Chile (Chilectra), Argentina (Edesur), Brazil (Ampla Energía e Servicos and Coelce), Colombia (Codensa), and Peru (Edelnor). Its 60%-owned Empresa Nacional de Electricidad (known as Endesa Chile) is Chile's largest power generator, with 13,700 MW of capacity. Other operations include real estate, electrical engineering, energy trading, and support services. Spanish utility Endesa owns about 60% of Enersis.
