1. The least promising son of Eochaid Mugmedón and Mongfhind; see ECHTRA MAC NECHACH MUIGMEDÓIN [The Adventure of the Sons of Eochaid Mugmedón].
2. Sometimes Sir Fergus, a knight of King Mark and friend of Sir Tristram. Born a peasant, he wins Galiene, Lady of Lothian, after being knighted. Title character of a French verse romance by Guillaume le Clerc (c.1225).
