Fuel Systems Solutions was green before green was hip. Operating through two primary subsidiaries, the holding company (formerly IMPCO Technologies, Inc.) manufactures and supplies equipment that allows internal combustion engines to run cleaner by using alternative fuels. Subsidiary IMPCO Technologies makes fuel systems that allow engines to burn gaseous fuels such as natural gas, propane, or biogas. IMPCO serves the heavy-duty, power generation, stationary power, and industrial markets. Italy-based BRC Gas Equipment subsidiary serves the transportation market by making fuel conversion systems for vehicles so they can meet official government emission standards. Fuel Systems was formed in 1957 as IMPCO.
