Genoptix looks deep into blood and tissue to diagnose cancer and other disorders. The specialized laboratory service provider analyzes blood, bone marrow, tumors, and lymph node samples in order to diagnose, monitor, and track diseases such as leukemia, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer, and markets those services to community-based hematologists and oncologists. Its service offerings are COMPASS for hematology (blood testing for condition diagnosis and condition monitoring), and NexCourse, which evaluates solid tumors to predict patient response to different treatments. Genoptix was started in 1999 by CEO Tina Nova. The company was acquired by Novartis AG in 2011.
