A pearl in China's Pearl River Delta, Guangshen Railway provides passenger and freight services in the Guangdong province. The company's rail system spans about 480 km of track, including the busy 152-km line between Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The Guangzhou-Shenzhen line has been expanded to include four parallel tracks, on which the company can run high-speed passenger trains and standard passenger and freight trains simultaneously.
