MVC Capital puts its money where its mouth is. The business development company provides equity and debt investment capital for small and middle-market companies. It generally invests between $3 million and $25 million, funding the growth, acquisitions, and recapitalization plans of companies with sales of between $10 million and $200 million in the US, Asia, and Europe that have secure market positions but may be underperforming. The company invests in the automotive, manufacturing, chemical, financial services, and food service industries through methods including senior and subordinated loans, venture capital, mezzanine financing, and private equity investments.
