MacCann, Michael Joseph (1824-1883), poet and journalist. Born in Galway, he taught for a time at St Jarlath's, Tuam. His famous poem, ‘The Clan Connel War Song’, usually known as ‘O'Donnell Aboo’, appeared in The Nation, 28 January 1843.
