FOREBEARS: Matheias and Peter Nafsker and Rudolf Nafzger sailed to North America on the Phoenix, arriving in Philadelphia on 15 September 1749. Rudolph settled in Washington Co., PA. His son John moved to Montgomery Co., OH, about 1800 with several of his married children. Others in the 1750s, Amish Mennonites, originated in Thun, Bern Canton, Switzerland.
