Naughton, Ontario
Naughton is a community in the Ontario city of Greater Sudbury.
The community was originally established as McNaughtonville.
From 1973 to 2000, Naughton was part of the town of Walden, in the Regional Municipality of Sudbury. On January 1, 2001, the Regional Municipality was dissolved into the single-tier City of Greater Sudbury.
Naughton also experienced reports of Sasquatch sightings during the late 1990s. These reports were made by local boys, Zach Beauchamp and Ryan Widder. Although the credibility of these sightings is questionable, the claims were reported in the city's community newspaper, Northern Life.
