Optimal Group designs and sells toys and other entertainment products for the consumer market through its WowWee Group operating subsidiary. WowWee's products include the Paper Jamz line of toy instruments which enable hands-on playback of prerecorded guitar and drum instrument sounds. The company also sells stuffed animals called Alive Sleeping Cuties, a collection of battery-powered hovering and flying toys known as Flytech, and motorized robot toys called Robosapien and Roborover. It also offers the Rovio mobile Webcam and Cinemin miniature digital projector. In 2010 WowWee president Richard Yanofsky led a buyout of the financially troubled Optimal Group for about $9 million in cash.
