Protosteliales is a grouping of Mycetozoa.[1][2]
The name can vary depending upon the taxon used. Other names include Protostelia,[3] Protostelida,[4] and Protosteliida.[5].
When not implying a specific level of classification, the term "protostelid" is sometimes used.[6]
It includes the following genera:
- Cavosteliaceae (family)
- Planoprotostelium (genus)
- Protosteliaceae (family)
- Protostelium (genus)
Protostelia has been described as paraphyletic to the protostelids.[7]
