Amps are not directly convertible to horse power, which is a measure of power. Power is current times voltage. Therefore on a 240 v supply, 1000 amps equals 240,000 watts. One horse power is 746 watts.

The amount of amps depends on the applied voltage. The formula is P=IxE. 'P' equal Power in watts, 'I' equals current in amps, and 'E' equals volts. You need to have two known two known values the calculate the third. You indicate the value of 'P' as 1000 watts, but have not given the voltage value of 'E'. If 'E' was 120 volts, then using formula 'I=P/E ', 'I' would equal 8.333 amps. If 'E' was 240 volts, then 'I' would be 4.1667 amps.

As it stands, there is not enough information to answer this question.

A power equation is given by P= IV

So, in order to know how many watts are in 1000 Amperes, we need to know either the voltage supplying the system, or the resistance of the system.

The resistance will result in us using this equation: P= I² x R. Where you can solve by isolating I.

There are zero amps in 1000 watts. The equation that you need to use is I = W/E. Amps = Watts/Volts. As you can see if no voltage is stated the amperage can not be calculated.

divide it by the volts. no that is not correcxt

the correct formula for AC amps is kW x 1000 over E X PF

How can you convert kw to amps?

25 amps is how many kw?

Amps is a measurement of current. Watts (or kilowatts) is a measure of power. To get the power from the current, you have to know the electrical potential or volts used to produce the current. Amps × Volts = Watts (or Current × Electrical Potential = Power). Incidentally, a kilowatt is 1000 watts, so you'll have to divide your answer by 1000. e.g. if your volts is 40, then 25 amps × 40 volts = 1000 watts. 1000 watts (divided by 1000) is 1kw or kilowatt.

1kw how many amps?

1 kW = 1000 watts. Formula is Watts = Amps x Volts. As you can see to give you a answer I need a value for volts. Transpose the formula to read I = 1000/volts.

How many amps will give you a kW?

Amps can not give you a kilowatt with out a voltage being applied to the question. Watts = Amps x Volts. Amps = 1000/ Volts.
