If the distributor has been removed and replaced, it could be 180 off. Also, just because the accelerator pump on the carb is working does not mean the the rest of the carb is functional. Remember this is an early computer controlled carb, and were prone to some problems. Also, re-check your firing order. I have seen several engines not fire because 2 wires were inadvertantly switched. Also check inside your distributor cap. Look for arcing or cracks betwee posts. Without knowing more about what repairs or changes have been made I can't offer any more advice.
