Why not start with the simple stuff? Check the battery terminals for corrosion or a loose connection. Sometimes when a starter is engaged it will pull enough current that a poor connection will fail under the load.

How long does it take to replace crankshaft sensor Chevy Cobalt?

I have a 08 Chevy Cobalt. It took me about an hour and a half to replace the crank position sensor. Disconnect your battery and unbolt your starter; you can leave the starter wired up just move it out of your way. The sensor sits behind the starter. Be careful when disconnecting the plug for the sensor so you don't break it. You can disconnect is from up top so you can see what you're doing. Replace sensor, replace starter, reconnect your battery, and your back on road.

Was driving 2000 Mercedes CLK 320 turned off for 5 minutes would not restart battery is charged gauges lights radio wk no power to starter is there a starter relay a key problem or other issue?

Sounds like a crank sensor - a car of mine did that and that was the cause of its failure.

How do you install a crankshaft position sensor on a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue?

This is a quick answer. Its above the starter going into the side of the block. (front side of the engine) Disconnect the battery. Remove the starter. Remove the wore plug into the sensor. The sensor has 1 bolt holding it in. Remove the bolt, you may have to wiggle the sensor at the base a bit as you pull it out. Replace, and make sure it is pushed in all of the way. Replace the bolt, wire plug, starter, reconnect the battery. If you have ever removed or replaced a starter this is cake, that is the hardest part of the job. Rich

Your 2002 jeep gc will not start it makes a click sound when key is turned but no crank the battery is good and the car has been running great to this point could it be the map sensor or the starter?

It can be a bad starter, but it can be a corroded battery cable. If you know the battery and cables are good, remove the starter and have it tested at most auto parts stores. It can be a bad starter, but it can be a corroded battery cable. The starter battery and alternator have been tested but now car won't start How do I know if I need to replace the solenoid or the oxygen sensor on a 1991 cadillac deville and how is this done?

The O2 (Oxygen Sensor) has nothing to do with the engine not starting. If it will not start you either have no spark or no fuel. If the engine will not turn over, it is either the starter, battery, connections, ignition switch, or starter solenoid. Some starters have the solenoid built into the starter. Test the battery, and all connections. Remove the starter and have it tested at any auto parts store.

Does map sensor help car crank?

No. The starter motor, battery, battery cables, and ignition switch are all that is required. This will make the motor spin. The map sensor IS required to make the engine fire up, however.
