My son's 91 sedan would crank over nicely, but never try to start. We sprayed a short shot of ether into the air intake and it started instantly. This proved that we had ignition, but not getting fuel to any cylinders. A shop tested for the electric pulses to the injectors and saw none. He then disconnected the wireing plug to the one injector that is accessable, and the engine started and ran on 5 cylinders. That one injector was shorted and was killing the pulses to all the rest of the injectors. If the bad one was one of the ones that are buried under the cover, we may never have figured this one out! Jim Harlan, Albuquerque If the above-answer didn't help, check your fuel pressure. You might have a bad fuel pump or pump relay
A 1997 Chevy Lumina with a 3.1 that will not start, turns over, and doesn't spark; most likely has a defective ignition system. The coil may be damaged or wire providing power could be damaged.
More information is needed. Does the engine turn over, but not start? Have you checked for gas and spark?
Either no spark or no gas
check the distributer or change the spark plug wires and spark plugs this happened to my try changing the moguel
Check for fuel and spark.
That engine needs fuel, compression and spark to start and run. You are missing one of those.
One reason a 1993 Chevy Lumina may turn over but not start could be the battery. It may also be the spark plugs.
Make Sure your battery full charged sometimes the battery might be low or bad and it is not give it the spark it need to turn over what you can do is get under the car find the starter and the to nuts hodlind the starter you can hit them with a hammer gentlely and have someone hold the ignition in the start position and that usally will cause it to turn over if not then you need a new starter I have a 94 Chevy Lumina euro and it did the same thing
check for spark from the number one plug wire if no spark then start with the coil
car has spark and fuel it will crank over but will not start
have you checked to see if the timing belt or chain is broken? have you checked cylinder compression? is the oil up to proper level?

In a 1993 Lumina Euro it is almost directly behind the front bumper, just up a little higher. It has a sort of metal protective sleeve over it.
Does it turn over? Does it have fuel? Does it have spark?
are you getting spark?
The Euro is a 16 inch, the Olds is possibly as well... the only issue would be if the olds ones are 15's... the brakes might be too large to fit the wheels over.
