crank sensor wire probable it's making contact with some ground check all the sensor wires with de engine on and shake them carefully
If it blows when trying to crank, the starter has failed.

I had a 96 Stratus that would do that, and it turned out to be that the starter was bad.
Not without swapping the transmission, computer, wiring, plumbing, etc.

Dodge Stratus was created in 1995.
I have a 2001 Dodge Stratus 2.7 and had the same problem. I ended up replacing the fuel pump in the gas tank.
Remove the wiring harness from your 2000 Dodge Stratus EGR valve. Remove the EGR valve retaining screws. Reverse the process to install the new EGR valve.
There is no such part on a Dodge Stratus.
It requires the dealer's scan tool.
