A unit is not used to measure power, but energy.

A unit is used by British electrical companies to measure energy consumption, and is short for 'Board of Trade Unit'. A unit is equivalent to a kilowatt hour. A watt, on the hand, is used to measure power, not energy -so you cannot relate a unit to a watt.

One kilowatt-hour is equal to one unit of electrical energy.

The name, unit, as it relates to energy measurement, originates from 'Board of Trade Unit'. It is used in the United Kingdom to represent one kilowatt hour (kWh) but notin other countries, as far as I know.

The 'unit' is a measurement of energy used in the UK for the purpose of billing consumers, and is short for 'Board of Trade Unit'. An 'unit' is exactly equivalent to the kilowatt hour, a power of one kilowatt running for one hour. You cannot equate the unit (energy) with the watt (power).

Power = current * voltage. You cannot relate current in [A] to power in [W], unless you have one more bit of information, the voltage [V].
