Check simplest solutions first. Wire to the solinoid connnected, all connections where security system was connected, the 3-4 main fuses or fusible links still good. How do you know it was the security system keeping it from starting? If you took it off and it still doesn't start perhaps it was a different problem to begin with. Run a hot wire to the small solinoid wire and see if the starter engages. Make sure it's good before trying to find a problem.
