There are two New Testament stories about Jesus ascending to heaven, by the same author although probably written several years apart.
TONS!! Here is just a few:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life"
John 3:16
"Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."
John 3:18
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them."
John 3:36
"Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life."
John 5:24
As you can see it those who believe, trust, Christ as their savior who go to Heaven.
ANSWER:
Unfortunately, all the above speak to 'eternal life' and not a quote from Jesus about going to heaven, which there is one as follows: 'NO ONE has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.' (John 3:13).
A good rule when reading the Bible is 'let the Bible interpret itself!!'
Eternal life is not about going to heaven. INDEED, the tabernacle of God will be with men on EARTH as Revelations 21 clearly states and Jesus mentions in the Beatitudes in Matthew 5 - the meek(humble) will inherit the EARTH.
Read it for yourself as another rule is, believe no one but search yourself for the truth as only you are responsible for your salvation. Blessings...
How many people go to heaven is simply determined by the number of people who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.
That all depends on the individual, and it also depends on what you understand about heaven.
There are no reliable source that confirms how many will be saved before Jesus comes back.
The exact number is not mentioned in the Bible, but hopefully it will be numerous.
only the bads ones
Only black people.
and the jews.
Depends on peoples religious beliefs
Jesus ascended to Heaven once only His ascension to heaven on the evening of his resurrection is described in Luke 22:51. Acts of the Apostles, by the same author but written some time later, also describes the ascension of Jesus to heaven, saying it occurred 40 days after the resurrection.
According to eye witness accounts there were around 200 believers who saw Jesus ascend to heaven...there were also multiple eye witness accounts after He was resurrected, on one occasion He appeared to over 500 people at once. Hope this answers your question :)
Many say good works will get you to heaven but that won't really get you there you really have to ask Jesus into your heart and to forgive your sins, the bad things you do.
People have many different beliefs about heaven, ranging from a city of gold to nothing. There aren't any facts about it, only beliefs and stories.
Jesus had dealings with many different types of people. Many of His encounters with people are recorded in the Gospels. He was particularly friendly with people who needed Him - people who knew they were sinners and who were outcasts from the society of His day. This drew criticism from the proud religious leaders of His day.

AnswerThe gospels say that Jesus rose from the grave on the third day - Sunday. The passages in which Jesus rose to heaven are called the ascension, and are only found in Luke's Gospel and Acts of the Apostles. Luke says that Jesus was seen by the disciples to ascend bodily to heaven on the evening of the same day as his resurrection from the grave (Luke 24:51) - Sunday.Acts of the Apostles, written by the same author but some time later, says that Jesus remained on earth for forty days after his resurrection from the grave and was then seen by the disciples to ascend bodily to heaven. Acts is not sufficiently specific about exactly how many days the risen Jesus was on earth to say which day this was.

According to the Catholic Faith that's not true. There are many souls in Heaven including those of the saints. There are many souls of lay people as well who have done good deeds in their earthly life. In the Bible, when Jesus was crucified, he told the robber on the right "I shall see you in Paradise with me today." This clearly indicates that there are many souls in Heaven apart from Jesus and Marys'.
Jesus stayed 40 days on Earth after his resurrection before ascending to Heaven
Once
The bible says there were 200 believers who witnessed jesus ascension to heaven.
because some people dont get taught about the bible and they might go to heaven if they never gott the chance to learn about God
A:It is unclear just when Jesus did ascend to heaven, if this is historically correct. Acts of the Apostles tells us that he ascended after forty days, during which he was seen by many (1:3). On this account, he could have chosen to wait until enough people had seen him to prove his resurrection was real. However, Luke's Gospel, written by the same author but somewhat earlier, says that Jesus ascended to heaven on the evening of the day of his resurrection (24:51). Paul, in his epistles, seems to have believed that the resurrection and the ascension to heaven were one and the same event - in other words, that Jesus was resurrected spiritually and that there was no physical resurrection. Matthew and Mark do not mention an ascension to heaven, and Matthew's account of the appearance of the risen Jesus to the disciples seems to rule out the ascension in Acts as well as that in Luke. On these accounts we can not say that Jesus waited forty days, or even that he ascended bodily to heaven at all.
Yes we will meet both Jesus and God in heaven as Jesus said I go to prepare a place for you., as in my fathers house are many mansions , and if it was not so I would not tell you so.
Jews don't believe in heaven or hell. They only believe in Sheol, a dumping ground for all dead people, good and bad. It was Jesus who introduced the concept of heaven and hell to the world. Many people use the term heaven and hell, but, it is really a Christian idea, not a Jewish one. Jesus was a reform Jew, but, the Jews in general have rejected Jesus and his teachings.
