What would you like to do?
- we get more breeds and more animals/plants easier
- people can make more more
- the animals/plants can have genetic diseases
- It is hard to get rid of the genetic diseases because you have to breed them out

disadvantage: selective breeding gets rid of variety advantage: selective breeding rules out weakness and disability disadvantage: isn't that what Hitler tried to do with …humans in WWII? do we really want to be like him? Selective breeding(or artificial selection) produces traits which may be advantagious to us, but be a disadvantage to the animal. Here are some examples-The lapps of northern Europe herd and breed the wild deer, selecting docile animals. The resulting herds could not survive in the wild.Cows with big udders are good for us , but are probably painful for the cow. English bulldogs mght be considered a cool looking dog, but have breathing difficulties and such small pelvises that they often have to give birth by causation. Advantages: Can produce fitter, stronger animals or animals of a higher yield of milk, meat or eggs for example. Can produce animals better suited to survive in poor climates or marginal conditions, thus preserving human food supplies and saving life. Can ensure the eradication of hereditary sickness in some blood lines. Disadvantages: For show animals such wild kitten eatingas some dogs, it is practised quite strictly by breeders aiming at a certain look which is set down as the breed "standard"- many Dalmation puppies are euthanased because they do not exhibit the breed standards for example, so there are serious moral questions to it too.Too much close interbreeding to obtain certain cosmetic traits can also result in the amplifying of inherent illnesses - like the bulldogs mentioned above, or German shephered dogs with hip problems and so on - in fact, these issues are rapidly worsening in recent years with dogs in particular. keep in mind it will eat your babies if you anger them.
Selective breeding helps to rule out weakness and disability in animals and helps make farming more lucrative for farmers by providing more robust animals for sale. Corn woul…d only have ten kernels or less per ear withour selective breeding!
If it is an animal, it would be unfair to the animal, it could cause genetic problems and the animal could get sick easier. If it's a plant, it could cause environmental probl…ems if it uses more water than other plants around it, causing the plants around it to dry out and birds to lose homes and insects to lose food. It all depends on what it is.
An advantage of selective breeding is that producers can produce cows or bulls with characteristics that improve the breed or the herd itself, or produce more income for the p…roducer when calves are sold. Selective breeding means herd improvement, on things such as milking ability, mothering ability, carcass quality, forage utilization efficiency, calving ease, stayability, birth weights, weaning weights, etc.
The advantages of selective breeding include producing a dog that meets the standard of the breed. Disadvantages include producing dogs with very short faces, squat legs, …and large bodies.
With selective breeding the gene pool becomes less diverse.
1 answer is the animals that are in captive breeding cannot be harmed by forest fires, flooding or other species of animals Answer 2: animals are protected in an in - built… habitat and are protected from hunting and poaching so is their habitat. the disadvantage is that sometimes people don't take god care of the animals. so it does more harm than good. another disadvantage is that there is no control over the long term issues i hope this helps
Could create genetic mutation that harm the animal but may create ones that make it adaptable into living and reproducing.
Advantages: * determines the fitness of an organism by direct application. * employs a wide range of criteria * provides for opportunism Disadvantages: … * involves a lot of chance. * some organisms escape the full range of possible criteria * is under employed in boom times, over-employed in lean times. * recessive traits 'hide' from the process. *
I don't breed animals myself but I have researched this topic. Selective breeding is used to obtain desired traits in the offspring. This technique has been practis…ed on domestic animals, but mostly livestock. One advantage of this technique is that you can create pets to fit your lifestyle. I know that people who are allergic to dog hair order poodle crosses because they don't molt, but a family can still have another breed of dog. In livestock it is used to fatten up cows, or keep the racing gene in horses. This is also how the bloodlines horses stay "purebred".
1. endangering the 'selective breeding' speacies 2. how am i suppose to know im 10???
Advantages: Easy to implement In-place sort (requires no additional storage space) Disadvantages: Doesn't scale well: O(n2)
reduction of health care and educational expenses
cross-breeding it may result in getting more and giving the combination of different breeds.
in selective breeding, animals choose the mate who is the fastest, fittest, and who has the best genes to pass on to their offspring. animals who do selective breeding evolve …and become better.
Selective tendering has a low cost for production of tender documents since there is a small list of selected firms to tender. Price will be the main determinant for selection…, since all other considerations would have been done already making the analysis process simple and faster.
In Animal Life
well some times they come out with deformities not bad ones but there are some risks the advantages is that they come out looking better than ever
