Answer
If you were or are in the States illegally then I seriously doubt that even though you married an American citizen you would get a Green Card so that you could work legally. I believe that the American Immigration policy would be to ask you to go back to the country you came from, and apply for a landed status. From there, and after many documents have been filled out and filed with the proper people in Immigration, if you have no criminal record, you might be accepted. I can also tell you that it takes about two years to do this unless you get an Immigration Lawyer. This will cost a few dollars, but the money would be well spent.
At this moment no as you have broken the law twice.
No.
If they obtain a visa, they are not illegal.
Not necessarily, although such cases are decided on individual basis according to the circumstances.
Asylum- but only if filed within 1 year of entry into the U.S.- otherwise no.
No. An incarcerated person could not sponsor a foreign national for permanent residency nor citizenship. FYI, marrying a US citizen does not automatically confer permanent resident or citizenship status on a foreign national. Likewise, an illegal immigrant is not eligible for permanent residency regardless of his or her marital status. Unlawfully present individuals are required to voluntarily leave the US and return to their country of origin or face detainment and deportation.
If your already married she's already legal! * An immigrant legal or illegal does not become a US citizen by marrying a US citizen. The female immigrant who is in the US illegal can still be deported under US immigration laws. The issue of her being married to a citizen and having children may or may not be to her advantage. If she is taken into custody she will be given the chance to appeal any deportation issues, but there can be no guarantee of the outcome. The best option is for her to consult an attorney who is knowledgeable in immigration law before taking any other action.
In Georgia, illegal immigrants are not permitted to obtain drivers' licenses.
no
You can't.
No
No, they cannot.
I doubt an illegal alien could even join the military, let alone get a green card. A illegal immigrant could not become a member of the US military, nor can an illegal immigrant obtain legal status under the current immigration laws. All foreign nationals who are unlawfully present within the US are subject to deportation when taken into custody by immigration authorities. Exceptions are made in individual cases, if the immigrant qualifies as an asylee or refugee.
