Bragg's law is used intrinsically in X-ray diffraction, a technique used study the internal structure of crystalline substances, particularly minerals. Bragg's Law applies to the angle and intensity of reflected incident rays within in a crystal, and the subsequent determination of electron density locations. Once the location of electrons within a substance is known, one can extrapolate the structure of the solid.
