No, bunnies are not nocturnal, but they sleep with their eyes open. You can tell if one is asleep by if it moves it's heads around, scratches itself, or blinks. If one does do any of these things, then your little furry friend is still awake!:)

yes, rabbits usually sleep during the day and are up all night. my rabbit is a guard bunny and is located at the entrance of my bedroom. every night, when my sister tried to take my rabbit out of the cage while i was asleep, he bit her.now, every time someone enters my bedroom, he will thump his foot repeatedly until i wake up and let him know everything is ok.

Crepuscular is a term used to describe animals that are primarily active during the Twilights- at dawn and at dusk.
