Someone born in 1941 would be 68 today and an infant born in the base hospital on Dec 6 would have to be considered a Survivor. The 18-22 year old soldiers and sailors are now in their early 90s, so they will soon all be gone.
My great uncle is 91 & a Pearl Harbor survivor. But I don't know the total that are still living.
i think what you are wanting to know is how to get a hold of one, well good question i have no clue does any one no..?
About 6 I think. I went to Pearl Harbor August 2, 2012 for my 13th birthday and I met 2 of the survivors and got them to sign a book I had about Pearl Harbor but I'm not sure the exact number of soldiers from that attack still alive.
I do not have the answer but I own one of these and it is still sealed.
yes it still is
Yes. I got a picture and got his signature about 5 hours ago at the pearl harbor. He was still living and very kind. It's 12-9-11 today and I saw him earlier.
There are still 2 survivors living today.
Survivors were very surprised at the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. For one thing, they had no warning. For another, it was very early on a Sunday morning, so most of the soldiers were still asleep when it happened. Additionally, communications are vital in any war, be it at Antietam or Pearl Harbor. US Naval intelligence had placed Japanese warships, including the ones used at Pearl Harbor, at bay in their home ports near Japan.

First of all, Pearl Harbor was and still is a part of country (we never declared war on Pearl Harbor). Second, I assume you're asking when we declared war on Japan BECAUSE of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941. Roosevelt declared war on December 8th.
The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor during the Second World War took place at the city of Pearl, Oahu, Hawaii, whose harbor was (and still is) a major American naval base.
Pearl Harbor is in Hawaii, which at the time was a US Territory. The Navy base at Pearl is still there. The main attack was against the ships and airfields on the island and several specific locations where attacked.
The USS Arizona and Utah are still in Pearl Harbor with their memorials however the USS Oklahoma was later risen, sold for scrap, and was under tow to California in 1947 when it sank. A memorial to the USS Oklahoma was dedicated in Pearl Harbor in 2007.
