I would get a chihuahua puppy and raise it with your kids because i have like 20 Chihuahuas and they was adults and they always tried to bite at my kids chihuahuas have an attitude. Not good with children when there not raised with them.
Yes i have a female and she is wonderful but they tend to only like ppl that they already know but they are great family dogs Answer 2: Chihuahuas are great pets for the family! Around other people they may seem mean and bark alot, but that's just how they naturally are. When you get close to one, they are the sweetest, most affectionate dogs around. They are loyal, and will always be there as a companion, and a family member, in your life. Depends upon the family. If it's a family with older children, a chihuahua would be an excellent choice. Chihuahua's typically are not fond of small children. They can also be a little yappy around strangers, but once they become familiar with your friends, your chihuahua will treat them as part of the family.
Well I do have a chihuahua and they are good family dogs. I also have a staffordshire bull terrier and they both get on very well. I would recommend getting one to anyone that wants a sweet small dog. :)
It depends. If the Chihuahua is with the kids as a puppy then it will probably be affectionate towards them. However you must remember that Chihuahua's are protective, and that, like with many other animals, whoever it is with most it will probably try to protect by barking, growling, or even biting at "newcomers". They are also very agressive. Like most dogs, if you try to move them while they are asleep, they will probably snarl at you. Also they do bite and nip a lot. If you are worried about these things, then a chihuahua might not be the best choice as a pet. If you only want a chihuahua, then remember not to keep it near babies or toddlers. I do know several families with young children who have a pet chihuahua and the children adore it, though.
A chihuahua is not usually viewed as a "guard dog". Guard dogs are usually bigger dogs like pit bulls and rottweilers.
Some cats have attacked robbers before so any dog or cat could surprise you and be a "Guard Dog".
Small "vocal" dogs make good guard dogs for people who live in apartments or other places where size is a consideration. They are by nature territorial and fearless. I have seen small dogs bark and "attack" much larger animals and strangers with amazing results.
chiauauas make good pets becuse they are small and can live in a tiny aparment to a 100 acre block they are small and a good lap dog if that is your type. they are playful and can also be quite lazy.
yes. i have a chihuahua and she is a little angel. but she doesnt like strangers. she is very protective of me. her name is littlelacy. she is the best dog ever.
They are fragile. They can be yappy. Their bones break easily. So no not with young kids.
Well, a Chiuahua is a dog, and a dogs soul purpose on earth is to provide companionship to humans. Most of what dogs are good for depends on your personality.
Yes, a chihuahua is just about the right size to feed two people.
Some really cute dogs to breed with chihuahuas are mini poodles. My friend and my aunt have one and they are really cute and can look different.
Chihuahuas, like all species of dogs, are carnivores.
Yes but make sure you socialize them from a very young age
No, but it is not really good to give dogs food you are not sure about.
They can have 2!!
Chihuahuas
dogs
she has chihuahuas! adorable ones, too(:
A good dog for small yard and children would be probably a cocker spaniel or chihuahua. Cocker Spaniels are very nice dogs, and so are chihuahuas. Chihuahua can be very protective over your family, and they act as if they are big dogs and not so little. Cocker Spaniels I hear are very good dogs, and are the most well-behaved dog in the US. I strongly recommend those dogs.
Um. . . what are you talking about? Chihuahuas are tamed lap dogs . . . they have no trouble with eating!!! Loco. . .
Chihuahuas are probably the best dogs to get if you want to take one in you purse.
