NO!!!! It a covalent bond.

Any one Carbon atom makes four single covalent bonds to four adjacent carbon atoms. The structure is referred to as ADAMANTINE.

Diamond is an ALLOTROPE of Carbon. Othe carbon allotropes are graphite(soot) and Buckminster Fullerene(Footballene)
