I would certainly say that students are dependent on Technology. Students use it all the time they use; Phone, ipods,Iphones, Mp3 players, Computer, Nintendo DS, PSP and all other hand held game devices. In fact they can be using more than one at a time. I would say that students are actually most dependent on Modern Technology.
That depends on if the variable "number of students" is dependent on something else. For example, if the number of students is dependent on the time of year, then it is charted along the y-axis. If the number of students is independent, and the school's yearly expenses are dependent on the number of students, than the number of students should be tracked by the x-axis.
People became so dependent with science and technology.

Students should have technology because its what this world is run off of. Most jobs deal with technology, its an everyday use, so why not teach students with technology. Plus technology is usefull. Its easy, and comes with alot of features any other thing cannot do.
Assuming that it will be the students who are either noisier or not when the teacher leaves the classroom, then the answer is dependent on the students. Therefore the answer to this particular question is the dependent variable and the students here are an example of an independent variable.
