No one knows for sure. Their origin is prehistory for the area in which they came.

They were probably Samaritans (the Good Samaritan of The Bible). I personally believe they come from the land between the Black and Caspian Seas. That is the most eastern part of Sarmatia. That is the only reasonable explanation I can dream up for the distribution of the Haploid group G dispersion in Europe. The center of the highest G population is in that ismass. If you that that for granted. The G concentration makes perfect sense. It lessens as you move from that area. It is higher in Celtic strong holds were they were not all exterminated such as mountainous regions. It only exists in places that can be explained by this theroy.

Sarmatia was part of the Scythian Empire. There are striking similarities between this ancient civilization (peak 1000 BC) and the Celts. The most striking is the Celtic chariots are exactly like the Scythian chariots.

The Celts entered the history books around 400 BC. They were believed to originate of an island south of the Rhine although no actual evidence has proved or disproved this, much of which is still in debate.

Not originally. Celtic people came to Ireland, but they were not the first people to come to Ireland. There is now a long Celtic history in Ireland.
