Ringworm is a highly contagious infection. It confuses many people as it has nothing to do with worms, it is an infection you get in your skin caused by red blood cells (i think) in the shape of a ring.

1) Bleach is very good at killing the fungus that is causing the problem. Simply dab the affected area with a cotton ball that has been infected twice a day. The bleach should not burn you, however do look for any allergic reaction. Reports are that the ringworm will be gone in as quick as 2 days.

*use this method first, i personally think it the best but read the others as well*

ATHLETE FOOT CREAM. Use athlete's foot cream to cure ringworm. Apply twice a day(morning and night), and keep covered with a bandage. No adverse affects except for removing the bandage!

2) nail polish. This application is rather more controversial, and you need to be aware of any allergic reaction to the nail polish but the tip is as follows: Apply clear nail polish to the affected area on a daily basis. What you are doing is suffocating the fungus. Sounds strange but it works

3) ALOA VERA. If you have an aloe vera plant handy, though the pure aloe vera dream should do the trick, rip a bit of it, split it open and rub the inside on the infected area....instant relief! It helps kill the fungus too, as does myrrh, for this one you drop 10 drops of essential oil in a 25ml bottle, shake it WELL, and dab the liquid on the infected area. I found that alternating the two throughout the day makes the infection disappear fairly quickly....I suggest that you carry around the myrrh mixture, so you can apply it every time you go to the loo! Smells nice too! Hope it will help. Oh keep on doing both until fungus is gone, and probably do it more sporadically over the next two weeks, just to make sure it is well dead!

4) GARLIC. Has a pungent yet multi-talented reputation. Its many uses include lowering cholesterol, controlling blood pressure, and fighting fungi and bacteria. A study published in the Journal of Dermatology shows that garlic is effective in destroying up to 90% of the fungi causing tinea infections. Dosage: there are several ways to apply garlic. Crush garlic in a paste with an equal amount of olive oil or honey and apply directly to the skin, leaving it on for one hour. You can also apply garlic oil to the affected area three times daily. For stubborn infections or scalp ringworm, eat 2 cloves of garlic daily (best done before sleep). Use caution with children. Garlic is strong and may actually cause blistering.

5) BLACK WALNUT. A strong antifungal that has recently gained popularity for treatment of ringworm and other fungal infections. The compounds in the bark and leaves act as astringent and antifungal agents, attacking and riding the body of fungi. Dosage: Black walnut is available in capsules. Break open a capsule and mix the powder with water to form a paste. Apply the paste to the infected area liberally and cover with a bandage for about two to three hours, three times daily.

6) TEA TREE OIL. A strong antiseptic. In fact, studies have shown that tea tree oil can be as effective as the popular antifungal medications for fungal infections. Dosage: apply undiluted tea tree oil to the infected area three times daily. Never ingest tea tree oil, use externally only. Tea tree oil can cause serious side effects and even death if taken internally.

7) LAVENDER OIL. Lavender oil fights ringworm, penetrating deep into the skin and helping heal infections and minimizing scarring of skin tissue. It also reduces inflammation and itching. Dosage: add ten drops of lavender oil to bath water or apply 10 drops of lavender essential oil diluted with a tea spoon of olive oil directly to skin to treat ringworm infections.

8) ALUM. Natural alum dipped in water rubbed lightly on the ringworm site night and day for 3 days. It stings a little at first. By the 3rd day, the area is dry, a little scaly and the skin may flake off. The skin area also darkens a bit but the color returns to normal in a few days. 3 days - end of story! Although this treatment was started as soon as the ringworm was noticed.

9) ATHLETE FOOT CREAM. Use athlete's foot cream to cure ringworm. Apply twice a day(morning and night), and keep covered with a bandage. No adverse affects except for removing the bandage!
