As a teacher how do you offer love to your female student?

ANSWER: The quick answer is that "as a teacher, you are NEVER REQUIRRED NOR PERMITTED to offer any child love. Male or Female." Whether you're a male or female teacher, you should tread extremely lightly concerning both male and female students (children). If the female student (child) is going through a particularly difficult time and you are aware of the circumstances, you should immediately direct the child to a counselor who is trained to deal with this situation and can involve outside resources to assist the child. You should ensure that you are never alone with the child to protect yourself AND to allow the child an opportunity to know they can trust an adult(s). As a child's teacher, it is not your position to show the child LOVE. It is your position to show the child authority, leadership, compassion, understanding, caring and a sense they can trust adults. Nothing further is expected of you as a teacher. Do not allow yourself to become emotionally involved in childrens personal and family problems. You should ONLY direct the child to resources that will help the child. Answer Teacher and student relationships beyond extra help with homework are strictly forbidden by most schools and as a teacher you should know that this kind of behavour on your behalf could cost you your job.
