No. She took nothing.

She was the victim of a reckless driver (who died in the accident) who almost killed her and left her with devastating injuries.

In order to collect on her OWN insurance policy, she was required under Tennessee law to sue the other driver's insurance company. She asked her attorney to call the parents of the dead driver and tell them the lawsuit was a formality only (which it was) simply so she could collect on her own policy. She never took any money or property from them.

The news media is full of vile, evil creatures who love to attack the good character of individuals for sport, and sadly, most people are stupid enough to believe anything they read in the news or see on TV.

Can a wife legally kick her husband out of their home after finding out he is cheating but before she files for divorce?

Literally speaking, to kick someone out would constitute assault and battery (a criminal and civil offense) in most jurisdictions. If you mean can you insist that the spouse move out, it depends on who owns the home. If the house is in just your name, technically it may be possible to evict the spouse, but most jurisdictions require cause: failure to pay rent, failure to abide by some occupancy agreement regulation or restriction (and no, cheating is not generally an occupancy agreement or restriction). But even if that was the case, most jurisdictions require an eviction lawsuit. If you're looking to punish your spouse quickly, however, even filing a divorce lawsuit is no guaranty that a court will award sole possession of the home to you.

Small shop 1 customer will not pay his bill can you take him to small claims court?

yes you can the law allows anyone to file a small claims lawsuit. But make sure you have his correct address my suggestion is you send what is called a "DEMAND LETTER" by regular us mail and by certified mail "restricted delivery". its about $10.00 at the post office give him 30 days to pay. Dont worry if he dosent sign it just make sure you have his correct home address. Donot accept partial payment. DO NOT ACCEPT A CHECK. CASH OR MONEY ORDER ONLY. IN FULL> if he does not pay in 30 days file a small claims lawsuit against him in the local court nearest to his address. call the small claims court and ask questions. its easy simple and hopefully you will get your money. If you win hire a collection agency to collect your money. GOOD LUCK! JUDE KAGABINES LEXINGTON SC

Statute of limitations for small claims lawsuit Illinois?

I am a realtor and signed a finders fee agreement with a builder on 3-30-2005. The builder agreed to pay me and my broker a 1% fee if my clients built and closed on a home within 2 years. My clients had a home built by this builder and closed on 10-24-05. When I talked with the builder to collect my fee he refused to pay, as I could not produce the signed agreement. I recently found the agreement, and he still refused to pay. I am considering filing a small claims suit to collect. The fee owed is $3,129, plus filing fees of $181. Am I beyond the statute of limitations for filing this suit? Regards, Jerald Carda, 618-530-5785
