Martin Luna's world is crumbling. A fight threatens the end of his sophomore year at Bluford high school. but at home, things are even worse. Frankie, the most feared homeboy from his neighborhood , is hunting him. Alone and with time running out, Martin makes a desperate choice. Will it save or destroy him ?
In the story a boy name Martin Luna struggles to stay on the positive path of life after the death of his little brother Huero. Martin is also in trouble in school for fighting. a even bigger problem for Martin is at home with Frankie Pacheo the most feared homeboy from his neighborhood is hunting him. Martin also has a girl name Vicky he likes but is afraid to tell her how he really lives his life because he's afraid of what she might think of him. he starts to push Vicky away because he knows Frankie will try to hurt her to mess with him. His nemesis Steve is harassing him and trying to get him kicked out by taunting him and picking on his friends. By the end of the book Frankie and his crew comes and tries to take out Martin. Martin has his brother Huero's bat and uses it as self defense. He defeats Frankie. Stays in school and gets the girl of his dreams.
