This condition is rectified by either using a bigger HP rated motor or lowering the load on the machinery that the motor is driving.

Check the motor's terminal box. If there are three service input cables - such as red, yellow and blue - plus an earth wire, then it is a three phase motor. If there are only two wires plus an earth wire, then it is single phase.

do you mean a 7.5 amp 240 volt....there is no such thing as a 7.5 signal phase motor that i have ever heard of...but this may help if you can't locate the plate on the side of the motor for the wiring diagram, look on the inside of the (junction box)
