No, especially if the batteries are connected in parallel... when they're connected in parallel, it's still providing 8 volts, but the amperage capacity is increased... when they're wired in series, the voltage is increased, but the amperage is maintained.

probably yes.

make sure you get 3 12 volt deep cycle batteries.

Golf cart batteries are built to be run down and charged back up. so don't get three regular automotive batteries or else you're wasting your money.

If you have the money though...i'd stick with the 6 6volt batteries for best performance.

Can I replace three 8 volt batteries with two 12 volt deep cycle marine batteries in golf cart.?

it should work as long as the batteries are connected in series + to - what you would need to check is if the charger for the cart charges 24v or 8v if it is 8v you would need to get a 24v charger for it it would be possible to charge the batteries with a 12v charger but it would need to be hooked to each battery separately

How do you wire a 36 volt golf cart with 3 12 volt batteries instead of 6 6volt batteries?

A cart that has batteries connected in series with one plus and one minus cables may have three 12V batteries connected with two jumpers, instead of twice as many 6V batteries with five jumpers.

How do I wire 6 batteries together for my golfcart?

what is the voltage of your batteries and how many volts do need to run the golf cart?for example: you have six 12V batteries and you need 24V to run the golf cart then:Set the batteries in pairs, for each pair run a wire from the one positive terminal of battery one to the one negative terminal of battery two, leave the other terminal of each battery alone. now you have created three 24V batteries.Next you need to connect all batteries to the golf cart to use their power.take set one of the the three sets of batteries and connect the free positive terminal " not connected to the other battery" and connected to the golf cart positive connection, the same goes for the negative.do the same for the other two sets.

You put 3 12v batteries in a golf cart 2 of them reversed polarity how do you stop this from happening?

You need an even number of them to offset... 4 of them would be too much for the motor to handle.

Can you convert a 48V golf cart using 6 8V batteries to 4 12V heavy duty deep cycle batteries?

Why would you want to do that? With the (4) 12V Deep Cycle's your run-time will be MUCH less.Club Car golf cart's for 2009 just switched back to the (6) 8V batt system for their new Precedent models. Too many voltage problems with the (4) - 12V's, that's why Club Car went back to the (6) 8V's.Optimum 48V set up is (8) 6V's for long run time and easy 12V accessory. With the (6) 8V's, you just get a 48V to 12V REDUCER to run whatever accessories you like. Can be found on eBay for $60.

Can you use a 12V 7ah battery to replace a 12V 5ah battery?

Yes, both batteries perform the same, but the 7ah battery holds more charge.

How do you add 12v lighting to a golf cart?

If I were doing it, I'd wire it in direct to the battery, and install a fuse in the wire somewhere (somewhere accessible) between the battery and the switch for the lights.

Are 12v batteries actually 13.8v?

No, 12 volt batteries are 12 volts.

How do you wire four 12 volt batteries to get 36 volts and 48amps?

Four 12V batteries may not be connected end to end to obtain 36 Volts. But four 12V batteries can be connected end to end to provide 48V and push 36 amps. The actual answer to your question suggests that you drop one 12V battery and use three, not four 12V batteries end to end to obtain 36V.
