Lysol does not kill mono, but mono is spread through saliva. If the person is sneezing and coughing, they should be careful to cover their mouth with a tissue and throw the tissue away. Soak any cups or utensils that person uses in a solution of one part bleach to 10 parts water before washing them. Do not share a glass, fork, or other eating tool with them, and do not kiss them.

Lysol spray will kill germs in the air if the product is sprayed in to the air. The spray bottle says it kills 99.9 percent of bacteria in the air and on surfaces.
