According to this CNN Transcript ibuprofen evaporates over time so yes it does expire. Not in the sense that it becomes toxic but rather it will cease to be effective.

Yes. If the expiration date is not on the bottle, assume it has expired 6 months after dispensing.

Yes, Motrin can expire. All medicines have an expiration date printed on the bottle or package. The shelve life is usually 2 to3 years.

Almost every prescription (and most OTC'S for that matter) expire at some point. Toss 'em if they haven't all been used within two years.
