It depends. Is the 16 supposed to watch over them? Then that would depend on how responsible they are.Or if your asking if it would be okay for the 16 to just stay with the younger children...why not?

Can a fifteen year old stay alone over night in Texas?

Some states have set a minimum age for which children can be left at home alone. Texas has not set a minimum age for leaving children at home, but it is best to consider the maturity and responsibility levels of an individual child before leaving them at home overnight.

Can 15 year old be left home overnight alone in Maryland?

It should not be an issue. The key is does the 15 year old feel safe? If they can handle any emergencies and are to be trusted, it should be okay.

Is there a legal law concerning what age to be left aovernight alone in Oregon?

The law doesn't specify in detail what the rules are because different children are different and different situations are different. However, the parent or guardian has a responsibility to make sure that a child is safe and secure at all times, even if left home alone. This means that if the child runs into any trouble, their own fault or someone else's, the parent could be liable for prosecution for child neglect. Thus, do not heave any minor home alone for extended periods without duly considering the child's personality and the circumstances. In general, a child age 17 and younger should have adult supervision overnight unless the child is very, very responsible and mature, in which case a 16-17 year old could reasonably be left alone overnight perhaps once or twice a year for extraordinary reasons so long as there is responsible adult help close-by and available by phone and so long as those other adults are aware that this child is home alone.A child age 13-15 in general shouldn't be left alone for more than a few hours, depending on the maturity and personality of the child. For children younger than 13, again, the circumstances and the personality of the child play a role. Obviously a 12-year-old and a 2-year-old are different; a responsible 12-year-old could be left alone for an hour or two during the day in a safe and secure household where a nearby adult is available in case of emergency, whereas a 2-year-old should never be left alone at all, even in a car, for any reason.

Is it legal for a 16 year old to raise younger siblings in oklahoma?

A minor can not be legally responsible for younger siblings and the children should be raised by the parents or other adults. Baby sitting is one thing but to have the main responsibility of raising the children is not one of the other children's job when being a minor. If you don't get support at home contact CPS.

Can a 13-year-old stay overnight alone in Pennsylvania?

12 is the normal legal age for being left alone, it is okay for a 13 year old to be alone overnight. Never mind the legalities, do you feel happy leaving him/her alone? I have 3 children (all now well over 13) and I would have left one of them, but not the other, they would have burned the house down.

Can 13 year old left alone overnight with 8 and 2 year old?

While there is not likely to be a law making it illegal, most authorities would say no. Leaving a 13 year old in charge of a toddler and an 8 year old is not a good idea. They younger ones are not likely to follow the directions of the older one.

Can a 2 year old be left in care of an 11 year old along with 2 other children?

No. The 11 year old is not old enough (mature enough) to look after themselves alone never mind looking after younger children. A parent or carer that does this is abandoning their parental responsibilities and may be committing a crime.
