Yes she definitely can, my daughter is HIV positive, and when we found out she was pregnant they started her on medication right away. She was given medicine during delivery and the baby was on medicine for 6 weeks. He is 9 months old now, and is 100% negative, so yes it is possible :)

Absolutely, there is a good chance of a mother having an HIV negative baby. There are medications that an infected mother can take to reduce the transmission rate from 35% (without medications) to less than 1%. The key note here is that they mother must have a c-section to reduce the chances of transmission AND the mother can not breast feed as this could also transmitt HIV to the infant.

Yes, if the woman herself is HIV negative, and HIV negative after the pregnancy has started then there is no reason (other than contracting HIV during pregnancy) that the baby should have the disease. However, if the woman were to contract HIV during pregnancy, there is a very high chance the baby would be HIV positive because the virus replicates to very high levels in the initial phases of infection. About 5/10 babies may become infected if the mother is HIV positive.

Yes, it's possible for a baby to be born without HIV even if one parent has HIV. Medications and other preventive measures can help deliver a healthy baby.

If the mother has a negative blood and the father is b negative does that make the child ab negative?

No. If both parents have a negative blood type, the child will either have the mother's blood type,or father's blood type, or if one parent is A- and the other B- only then can a child be born AB-. However, if two people with negative blood types try to have a baby, that may be very difficult. Sterility usually runs on the negative blood types, but conceiving a child is not impossible for them.

Who is the youngest auntie?

It's quite possible and probably quite coomon for a new born child to automatically be an auntie. This happens if the babys mother already has an older child, who in turn has had a child of their own. The new born child will be that child's aunt.
