You can if you are not planning on moving to Australia. I have an uncle who married a Servian woman. She wanted to live here and she had to go to our government and fill out some forms because they wanted to know that she was going to stay with him. Usually you need to prove that you will stay married for a long time and you will need to get a permanent Visa if you want to stay here. GOOD LUCK!!! by the way... Don't think you will see many Kangaroos here.. they don't live in our streets like the movies make out to be!!

In Australia, you must file a Notice of Intent to marry at least 30 days before you marry.

It has to be an original copy signed by both parties, the priest/pastor/celebrant that will be performing the ceremony and if it's being filed with the second party outside the country, a copy of that person's valid passport (with at least 3 months before expiry) as well as a written affidavit by a Justice of the Peace or equivalent person in that country that is legally responsible for overseeing documents.
