The answer is: It depends on the felony charge. The NYS DMV will not issue a Dealer License for an "endless" number of reasons, but as far as a criminal FELONY conviction goes: No license will be issued for; but not limited to all Class A, B and many C Felonies: Auto Larceny, Insurance Fraud, crimes related to illegal sales of car parts or dismantling parts.

There are more reasons to deny a NYS Dealer's license that with certain felony convictions, excessive tickets resulting in Driver's license suspensions and or numerous registration suspensions (typically insurance related offenses)... The answer in short: depends on the felony conviction and or the other negative variables.

I suppose it COULD depend on the type of license you are referring to, but as a general answer - it is HIGHLY doubtful.

Can you get a hunting licenses in ny with a felony?

Under Federal Law a convicted felon can not possess a firearm. Under most state laws also. So a license will do you no good since you can't possess a firearm. ADDED: the first answer is true in a generally cautionary way. You MAY (depending on NY state law) qualify for a bow hunting license. Check with the NY Fish & Game Commission to be certain. However, as with the first answer - stay away from ANY firearms INCLUDING BLACK POWDER or MUZZLELOADING WEAPONS. They are considered "firearms" under the law and you are forbidden to own or possess them.
