Answer 1I'm certain it depends on the laws of the state in which the felon resides and wishes to vote. I can only speak to the Texas voter qualification law, the Texas Election Code, which I quote verbatum.

"ELECTION CODE Title 2. VOTER QUALIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATION CHAPTER 11. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR VOTING Sec. 11.002. QUALIFIED VOTER.

In this code, "qualified voter" means a person who:

(4) has not been finally convicted of a felony or, if so convicted, has:

(A) fully discharged the person's sentence, including any term of incarceration, parole, or supervision, or (B) been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disability to vote;".j3h.

A felon cannot vote in the State of California unless he/she first receives a certificate of rehabilitation under Penal Code section 1203.4.

Addtional info: a felon cannot vote anywhere in the U.S. When you become a felon, you lose your voting rights. You can sometimes, under some circumstances, have your rights restored.

Virginia - Individuals convicted of most offenses may apply for a gubernatorial restoration of rights three years after completion of their sentence. Those convicted of violent felonies, drug sales, and electoral offenses must wait five years.

This question is tricky. I have looked into it a few times myself, and have come up with two sets of answers. Some claim that if you are convicted of a felony, you will never be allowed to vote in Maryland. If you attempt to register to vote at the MVA, the guidelines for eligibility include not being convicted of a felony. However, some sites claim that if you have been convicted of a felony, you must have completed all court sentences, including probation, and have been cleared of probation for at least 3 years to vote.

Not in any state unless the state has restored those rights. Without that, possessing a gun by itself is a Federal felony.

Yes, as long as you are not on parole or probation. Don't listen to the other hater who answered your question. Get out there and vote!
