No, the tobacco will not kill the dog if the dog ingests it. The dog may get sick and vomit after eating tobacco. The filter on the cigarette is more dangerous to the dog if it eats it. Call a vet if you think your dog has eaten a cigarette filter.

I'm not a vet, but I don't think I'd worry much about it. most of the stuff is going to get digested-- you might see some of the filter in his droppings. But I'd try not to let it happen again. Maybe he's trying to give you a message!

Tobacco/Nicotine is very dangerous/poisonous to dogs and can die from it. You should bring the dog to a vet. Once there, they will observe the dog and will pour something in its throat to make it throw up.

It depends on how strong you dogs stomach is. It may not have any impact on him. That may be unlikely. If he starts throwing up violently, take him to the pet ER. Or he may have intestinal blockage, you would know this is he does not have at least a daily bowel movement, then take him to the pet ER
