Not in the USA. Only the biological mother decides this and even if she wanted to she could not do it without the father agreeing to it. They might be underage but they have the same rights as all parents to decide regarding their child.

Would you have to pay child support if you adopted a child and then the mother takes that child back?

No. If you adopted a child and the mother cancelled the adoption, you should owe nothing.

Is the mother or the father a child's next of kin?

The mother AND the father are a child's next of kin. Next of kin is determined by legal adoption, marriage and blood. If a child's parents are deceased their next-of-kin would be their siblings by blood or by legal adoption.

Can the father allow the step mother to adopt his children if the biological mom pays support but has no contacts?

That is not his decision to make. The child can not be given up for adoption without the biological mother's permission. And then the court will decide of she's allowed to adopt.

If a father terminates his parental rights does the mother have to give up the child for adoption if the mother is a single parent?

If the father terminates his parental rights the single mother can legally and solely have full custody of that child as long as the courts decide that she is capable of working and providing a safe environment for the child. There are times that the parents of the young mother, or possibly grandparents will help in looking after the child if the mother is a minor and finishing her education and the courts will often look favorably on this.

Does a mother who puts her child up for adoption still have to pay child support?

No, she forfeits her parental rights.

What is the difference between partial custody and open adoption?

Open adoption is when the biological mother/father, and their child are still allowed to meet and see eachother, even after the adoption process is complete. Closed adoption is when the biological mother/father of the baby can see their child for a year after the adoption. They can send pictures, letters, etc. After the one year, they have no contact with them, until the child is 18.

If you had put your baby up for adoption are you still a mother?

Yes, a woman is still the biological mother of her child, so she is still a mother.

Are there any arguments on for and against on adoption?

i think that the arguments on for are: less people in different adoption homes and so everyone has a chance to have a child. i think the aregument for against are: that it isn't fair for the child, because the mother isn't the birth mother and if they want a child why don't they try for one

When you adopt a child who was born in Georgia that now lives in Ohio what happens when their birth mother changes her mind?

If the adoption was finalized, then it will be an uphill battle for the birth mother. The more time which goes by after an adoption, the more trying it is for a child to just switch homes. Time and a finalized adoption must be on your side to win.
