No because the bigger turtle will bully the baby turtles to where the can't eat or get on dry land!
Yes, that's fine. As long as the turtle has a floating dock to dry off on. Turtles need to dry off their shells a few times a day, or the shell will grow mold and fungus and become infected.
yes you can, but make sure you have a good filtering system and lighting, 10 or 20 gallon should work fine for a slider
No. A turtle is a reptile and needs to breath air. Although they are mostly aquatic they still need a place where they can climb out of the water.
Yes there excellent swimmers. I have to baby red eared sliders and at first I thought they couldn't swim but i put hem in deep water and they were fine.
Yes you could if it in a big enough tank or pond.
A baby red-eared slider does not need a big tank. However, turtles grow fairly quickly, so, if you buy a tiny tank, you will have to buy a larger one when the turtle grows. So, to save money, you might want to just buy a large, adult-sized tank, and let the turtle grow into it. When I first got my red-eared slider (two and a half years ago), she was only a hatchling, about the size of a silver dollar (like, an inch and a half). At first, I got her a tiny tank (see the Related Link). When she grew too big for that, I got her a tank that was 12 inches long and 10 inches wide. Then she grew too big for that, so, now she lives in a tank that is 20 inches long and 12 inches wide.
of course! i have a baby red eared slider living with a big 8 inch turtle and they get along! you have to make sure they know and like each other before you put them both in the same tank
Depends on how big it is!red eared sliders can get very big.
Yep! They'll ignore each other. Better have a big tank ready for the pleco when it grows, though.
a tank with a filter make sre the tank is big because the fish can get up to 4 feet big
no because they will get distressed but if the tank is big enough yes but feed them separately .
Ghost Red Eared Slider Turtles will get to be the same size as normal Red Eared Slider Turtles, which is 10-12 inches.
What kind of turtle is it? Turtles like painted turtles and slider turtles should be fine. But turtles like musk, mud, or soft shell turtles would have trouble reaching the surface to breath. Do some research on your turtle and find out what their habitat should be. Deep or shallow.
not that big if its a box. i mean your just taking it home to put it in the terrarium tank.
About the same size as a water container.
Yes, they will eat any small pebbles. This may cause digestion blockages and can be FATAL. When putting gravel/pebbles into a turtle tank, make sure they are at least 2cm big.
