I agree that you should probably be asking a doctor these questions and not random strangers online but if it helps I have been prescribed Concerta and Ambien together. I'm not a teen though... I'm 25. Ambien isn't one you would want to be on for a long period of time. One normally ends up having to up the dose.

My teen takes concerta for ADHD. She has actually gained a few pounds since starting this medicine, but it truley has helped her stop spacing out in class and she is able to focus and has brought her grades up.

There is a 54 mg prescription for concerta. Presumably, some people can tolerate this much medication. These people are probably larger people who are otherwise more resistant to the drug's effects, causing them to need a larger dosage. At some point, depending on the person's physiology, mass and tolerance, I imagine that the taker would become very ill. Concerta is powerful stuff.

DO NOT TAKE 10 MG of XANAX or ALPRAZOLAM! These tablets are administered in 0.25, .50, and 1mg tablets, so I'm certain you can't get 10mg without taking many tablets together. Taking 10mg of Xanax would almost certainly be deadly or at the very least extremely dangerous. I take 10 mg of xanax every day and 2 10 mg of ambien at night. I'm over 40. Been doing it since a teen. Chill. It's ok.
